how can i change the avatar.  i'm a female and it's a caveman

Hi Qubes.

In order to change your avatar, you must run the Catan Online World from the client program, which can be downloaded here: http://www.playcatan.com/cow-download.html If you run the game from a browser, you will not be able to change your avatar.

When you start the Catan Online World program, uncheck the "to the games" option before logging in. You will enter through the hostel. Click on the backpack and select Character. There you will see several changes you can make to your appearance.

I am having a similar problem but I can't seem to find the hostel, I click on the teleport to house/hostel button but nothing happens.  Anyone know why and anywork arounds?

If you're trying to click on it from a game, it won't work. Also, you will have two options after clicking. A dropdown box will appear and you have to select house/hostel or market square.

When I'm playing an actual game, my Avatar shows a name of "Location 4" or "Location 1." Others have names on their avatars inside actual games. How do I set that up? Thank you.
